Heart of Glass
Grafton Street on a Saturday afternoon is generally a place I try to avoid. Wall-to-wall shoppers, groups of people surrounding street artists and tourists to add to the mix is generally hard enough to walk down nevermind photograph in. Undeterred, I joined a meet-up street photography route for which the route entailed a not only a walk up and down Grafton Street but then a walk across to the north side of the River Liffey for a walk along the equally busy O'Connell and Henry Street. I decided early on to minimise the clutter and busy backgrounds by using a longer telephoto lens and focus on characters.
