Clamp Hole waterfall
The Clamp Hole falls is a three-tiered waterfall located on the River Barrow in the Slievebloom Mountains in Co Laois, Ireland and is easily accessible as part of the Glenbarrow Waterfall Loop trail. The photo above is of the lowest of the three tiers. I decided on black and white for this image due to the bare earth slope immediately adjacent to the falls from what looks like a recent land slip. This slope is not very attractive and is very apparent in the colour version. However, on converting to black and white the slope blends in with the surrounding vegetation. The exposure length was 0.5 seconds at f/11 to create the milky white water while maintaining some detail.
