Ballynafagh Lake, Co Kildare
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail - Ralph Waldo Emerson
I took a trip back to Ballynafagh Lake, but this time with my wife for an afternoon stroll. A gentle walk, but also an opportunity to scout out the whole of the lake. The walk takes you around the edge of the lake, but nearly 3/4 of the lake itself is pretty much unaccessible due a sea of reeds. Still the walk took you through some light woods and around too the ruined valve house so it was not a total waste. This little part of the path with the trees arching above the path caught my eye. Down by the shore, the greens and yellows of this little clump of reads really popped against the light blue reflection from the sky.
